Complex Halloween

Spooky times are upon us. Can you write some complex sentences based on the theme of Halloween? Here are mine:
The witch, who was haggard and wizened, carefully added her most foul ingredients into the blackened cauldron.
Even though the room smelt like an Apothecary’s shop, the black cat seemed immune to the toxic smells around him.

This week our group explored some sayings or idioms we use in our everyday lives.

‘ Break a leg’.   ‘ A wet blanket’.   ‘A penny for your thoughts’ ‘ an arm and a leg’

We really had fun with these and can’t help slipping new examples into our conversations!

Share any you know or get your family to share some they know or you hear them say

Roman Numerals
