World Cup Maths

England beat Fiji 35-11 in the opening match at Twickenham on Friday night. They scored 3 converted tries (7 points each), 1 unconverted try (5 points each) and 3 penalties (3 points each). Is there another way in which they could have scored 35 points?

Don’t forget:

Converted try = 7 points

Unconverted try = 5 points

Penalty = 3 points

Drop goal = 3 points

  1. England v Fiji

    Converted try = 7 points Converted = Con

    Unconverted try = 5 points Unconverted = Uncon

    Penalty = 3 points Penalty = Pen

    Drop goal = 3 points Drop goal = Drop

    7 unconverted = 35

    6 Drops (or Pens) + 2 Uncon + 1 Con = 35
